Jim has over 17 years of experience in operations, private investing, lending and portfolio management. His investments include transactions with over thirty companies in a variety of sectors including Wireless Communications, Fabless Semiconductors, Optical Components, Communications Software and Medical Devices. In addition, Jim has invested in secondary portfolio transactions.
Previously, Jim was a Founder and Managing Director of Leader Ventures, a private investment firm providing blended debt and equity financing to a diversified portfolio of early- and late-stage, private companies. Before forming Leader Ventures, Jim was a Managing Director of Dominion Capital Management, an institutional debt and equity fund with offices in Boston and Menlo Park.
Prior to joining Dominion, Jim held a variety of operational and managerial positions with B.F. Goodrich Aerospace. During that time, he worked and traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South America.
Jim currently serves as a Advisor to Watershed Capital, an investment and advisory firm focused on financial, environmental and social returns, as well as an Advisor to Kensington Blake Capital, an investment services firm.
